About
Ora, meaning a state of wellbeing and health in Māori.
Hello, i'm Courtney Lowther.
I am a clinical psychologist and founder of Ora Clinical Psychology, a private psychology practice based in Brunswick in Melbourne.
I am originally from Aotearoa New Zealand and relocated to Australia over a decade ago.
I have been practicing psychology since 2013. My approach to therapy draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and mindfulness based therapy.
I believe that true health and wellbeing comes from addressing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.
My approach to therapy is holistic, meaning I consider all aspects of your life including how your thoughts, emotions, physical health, spiritual health, relationships and community, and environment intertwine and influence each other. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I strive to uncover and address the underlying factors contributing to your challenges.

My aim is to provide a safe, trusting and compassionate space for you to explore your inner world and the sources of your struggle. Together we can help you to build a deeper understanding of yourself along with skills necessary to create lasting changes that support not only your mental health but your overall wellbeing.
I work with adult clients in person at my consulting rooms in Brunswick and online by telehealth.

The spiral holds special significance at Ora Clinical Psychology. The spiral is one of the oldest geometric shapes found in the ancient world. It represents the winding journeys we must take inwards if we’re to truly know and love ourselves. From these never-ending journeys we return with infinitely more power and wisdom.
